Every week we get our junk mail along with the grocery store sale flyers.  If you're like me, you either throw them away or put them aside, just to let the ads expire before you get around to making a list from them.

I encourage you to get in the habit of pulling those ads out and putting them somewhere where you will look through them and make a weekly shopping list.  Even if it's something that you don't need for a recipe that week, if it won't spoil, why not pick it up while it's on sale for a great price?

The grocery stores do not match each other's prices, but Walmart matches all other grocery stores' ads.  You can save a fair amount of money if you are diligent enough to mark down all of the items you want them to price match in the ads, take the flyers with you to show at checkout, and hope you get people in line who have a lot of patience, because it can be time consuming when you check out!

If you accidentally throw out the weekly ad, here are links to them on some of the major stores' websites:

Walmart doesn't put out weekly sales flyers, but you can usually count on them being the most reasonably priced on items overall.  They will price match other grocery stores.

**I will shop at Albertsons, and I myself have actually started shopping more frequently there because they did away with those silly cards we need to use to get the "sale prices".  Those cards benefit no one but the stores, for inventory and tracking purposes!
